I have always been drawn to the miracle of how the body functions and performs. I began my career in health and wellness as a fitness instructor and personal trainer in college while getting my Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Nutrition (GO Jackrabbits!!). From there I went on to manage a gym, was a Worksite Health Promotion Specialist and, got certified in all sorts of programs that I led onsite for different corporations, and finally ended up landing my favorite job as a stay-at-home-mom for nine years. While at home raising babies, I continued to stay connected with my professional field by personal training and running group fitness programs.
A few years before Jack started school, my friend, Anna, recommended a book to me. That’s when I discovered the Nutritional Therapy Association. At the time, Anna had been battling cancer for 3 years. She was an angel on earth. Her gracefulness through her battle has continued to bless and inspire me, and many others, to this day. My passion for the field of nutrition has been fueled by Anna teaching me even more about the connectedness we have to food. When Jack started school, I dove headfirst into school and earned my Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification. I started my own business in 2016 and have also added Certified RESTART Instructor to my list of accreditations.
